Find architecture in its geographical context

Mapsarch connects buildings, people and companies through map-based discovery. The product gives architectural content a location as well as a name, so a visitor can explore a place and the work associated with it. The practical product question is how geographical browsing and detailed architectural information support the same search.

One product, two device contexts

The web platform uses React and Vite; the mobile application uses React Native and Expo. A desktop visitor has room to compare a map and content, while a phone requires a clear next action within a smaller screen. The gallery makes those interface choices visible.

The content model comes before the map provider

A map marker needs a useful record behind it. For your brief, define the building name, location, imagery and the people or companies to associate with it. Establish who can correct those details. This keeps the discussion focused on discoverable architectural content before choosing additional map interactions.

A useful brief starts with one discovery journey

For a similar product, bring one building record, its location and the people or companies associated with it. Describe how a visitor should find that record on each device. Agree content ownership, map-service accounts and publication permissions before expanding to more content types. Those decisions establish a reviewable first release.
